I have a variety of interests and things I love to do that all stem from my love of art and design. From music and painting to cooking, DIY projects, organization, minimalism and a long-standing love of personal development and learning new skills. All of these paths have brought me to a place where I want to share what I have learned with others. I have a passion for designing my life. I believe that each person can master the deliberate design of their own life. From health and relationships to the spaces, you live and work in. All can be mastered with a series of small steps and new habits. Believe me, if I can do it you can do it.

I came from a small economically depressed town. I ate a lot of government cheese and hamburger helper. I barely made it through high school and I ran with a rough crowd, to put it mildly. My idea of a meal most days was to gulp down a cheap cup of coffee while puffing on a  pack of generic cigarettes. My bedroom was always a disaster. I hoarded and collected just about everything for fear of not being able to get anything new.  Out of humble beginnings, ingenuity was born. Because we had no money so I was very resourceful. I found ways to do things and fix things myself. This led to a realization that learning and creating would be the ticket to me making a better life for myself.

After a long journey, I have come out on the other side with lots of wonderful experiences and have been able to accomplish many things I set out to do. This includes graduating from college, moving to LA. I have performed on some of the best stages with amazing bands. I also have made a living as an artist in fashion design and graphics. I now have a wonderful relationship after years of choosing unavailable people. My home is no longer cluttered with things I don't need and I successfully quit smoking 2 packs of cigarettes a day almost 20 years ago. I am a published cookbook author and health has become an important part of my life. I currently enjoy keeping company with some wonderful people and communities. I made it through some hard times and it has made me a strong and authentic person. So, like I said, if I can do it you can do it.
